Social Media Marketing – Strategy Questions

Some fantastic social media marketing questions are asked in HubSpot’s article 9 Questions to Ask Before Creating Another Social Media Account.

These questions are important to ask before starting any new social media platform, as not all platforms are necessary for your company. We want you to spend your efforts and resources in the most efficient way in the most effective places.

Of the 9 questions, we have narrowed it to three. Make it a priority to ask yourself these questions before adding a new platform to your strategy.

Social Media Marketing –  Strategy Questions:

  1. Is your company’s target audience on social media? Is your company’s target audience on the specific platform you are considering?
  2. Do you have the time and resources needed to build, monitor, and maintain each social media platform in your social media strategy? This includes building a following, creating content, and engaging with followers in real-time.
  3. How is social media more valuable to your company than other marketing activities?

Social media marketing can be a time-consuming endeavor, but when done effectively will reward your company with a great return.  Make sure that the customers you are trying to reach are there actively waiting to receive your content.

As you reflect on your social media strategy, remember that it needs to be part of a multi-channel marketing strategy.
