ANS Trip 2016: Ritch in Cancun, Mexico

Early in 2016 it was announced that American Name Services would be giving a “bonus” to each member of the ANS team for meeting our 2015 sales goal. The bonus was to be used to fund an ANS trip for each employee and a guest.  Over the next several months, we will give a brief summary of where our employees have ventured.

Ritch is the Wizard of the Data Processing department at to our sister company, West Coast Data Services. He used his ANS trip bonus to take his wife and daughters to Cancun, Mexico. Ritch provides a summary of his trip below.

Pirates, Mayas, and Paradise: Cancun, Mexico.  My wife and I, along with our two girls, flew to Cancun to enrich our lives with Mexican culture and to enjoy the beaches, sun, and sand.ritch-mexico-ans-trip-2016-shirts-american-name-services img_2915

One highlight of our trip was when we visited Chichen Itza, the stomping grounds of the first astronomers of the new world (that we currently know of, anyway).  Chichen Itza is a wonderful location for learning about astronomy and stone masonry.

We also got to enjoy some time on a Pirate ship with people from all over the world.  Of course, we had to do a little dancing. (Ritch is in the red shorts).

Our final trip destination included an excursion to Isla Mujeres to visit a shrine to the Mayan Goddess Ixchel. (This was Ritch’s absolute favorite part of the entire trip, obviously).
